We are delighted to bring the tradition of Burns Night to Berlin this year and warmly invite you to join us for an evening of poetry, storytelling and music as we celebrate Scotland’s National Bard right in the heart of the city - with a traditional Scottish buffet from Fraser McCabe, formerly of Hirsch and Hase.
Few writers or composers are as widely celebrated as the Scottish poet Robert Burns. Each winter, people worldwide come together to honour Burns and commemorate his enduring legacy. Join the vibrant Scottish diaspora in Germany for recitals and performances of his works by storytellers Rachel Clarke and Sam Wiszniewski.
There will also be a curated “Burns Open Mic” part in the programme – if you would like to share your favourite Burns poems or your interpretations of his works, feel free to get in touch with us with your suggestions by writing an email to germanyhub@gov.scot.
This celebration is open to all – whether you have Scottish heritage, lived in Scotland, have links through business or education, or simply love its culture: all are welcome in our international community of Scottish connections.
